Identifying colors is one of the main goals of a child entering kindergarten. Here is a colorful start toward that goal.

This exciting book starts with two big yellow eyes starring at you from a black page and each time you turn the page, you add something like a long bluish greenish nose or scraggy purple hair until you build a monster. Then the next page "You don't scare me.. Go away scraggly purple hair " and you begin to take away each piece of the monster as you turn each page until you have an entirely black page again. Then you can shout "And don't come back until I say so!"
Children love this book and in addition, the repetitive and interactive format makes it easy to read.
